SCHOLARSHIP FUND

In early 2010 Linda Friedricks gave the Association a generous donation as seed money to establish a Scholarship Fund in memory of her husband COL Steven D. Friedricks.  A committee was formed to develop policies, eligibility criteria, and procedures to administer the fund.  To emphasize the importance of this program, the By-Laws now contain the statement that one of the objectives of the corporation is “to award annual scholarships to deserving enlisted members of the 146th Wing”.  In 2012 four $500 scholarships were awarded.  In 2013 this was increased to six $500 scholarships.  For 2014, ten applicants were selected for $500 scholarships.  In 2017 twelve $500 scholarships were awarded.  As a result of the generosity of our members, the Board of Directors has authorized the awarding of twelve $750 scholarships for 2018.  [Editor’s note --these scholarships are possible through the generous donations of our members, no money from the General Fund has been used for scholarships.]

Without a doubt, the scholarship program is our most important and highest profile support of the Wing.  For it to continue at the current or higher rate, we need your generous and sustained contributions.

Please donate in $20 increments. For a minimum donation of $500 you may fund a scholarship in the Memory of, In Honor of, or in your Name.
